Another Great Week of Real Estate - March 9, 2024
Changing Contractors: Unfortunately, I am having to change contractors due to their lack of performance on a renovation we started last September that should have taken two months at most!
I hired the contractor based on a recommendation from a trusted friend but failed to follow my own rules when it comes to paying for materials and work completed. Fingers crossed that I can get this project done and sold before May!
EMMY TIP: Research contractors on BBB before hiring them.
Revamping our AirBnB: The Forgotten Bedroom. AirBnB has gotten very competitive and we are actively losing money. We do an annual revamp where we touch up paint, switch out furniture, etc.
This year however, we are going to completely refurnish a bedroom that we totally neglected in the beginning. It's not the largest room so unfortunately we will have to go with a full-sized bed which will add a third bedding type :/
EMMY TIP: Use high-quality paint that is cleanable for your AirBnB.

Revamping our AirBnB: The Forgotten Rooftop. Likewise, we are going to re-do our rooftop to make it a more usable space. If anyone wants to come and help me carry furniture up three flights of stairs, please do not hesitate to reach out.
EMMY TIP: Try to avoid furniture with cushions due to cleaning and getting wet.
